Lesson Plan Reflection

For this assignment we were to create a lesson plan that used technology in it. My lesson was on Alcohol and Tobacco and learning healthy decision making skills towards both. Alcohol and Tobacco can cause so many bad health problems for people. Students need to learn how unhealthy they both are and how to say no to both of them. The kids will learn in this lesson refusal skills and they will share their ideas with the class. The students will be using a program online called Glogster to create an online poster to show their refusal skills and other information they want to share about Tobacco and alocohol use. This chapter is very important and I can not wait to teach it one day.

Western Reserve Community Youth Soccer League

Reflection

For this project we had to pick an outside artifact and write about it. I did mine on when I coached a youth soccer team. My team was made up of five and six year old kids. It was a learning experience for me. It was the first time I was incharge of multiple little kids. It was an amazing experience! I really enjoyed helping the kids learn basics of the game and seeing them progress over the season. Most of the kids knew nothing about soccer at the first practice and by the last game they all knew the basics of the game. They learned a lot about teamwork and working with others. In the future I would like to coach youth sports but I really want to coach high school kids and help them develope theirs skills and help them mature as individuals. I believe every kid needs to get envolved in an after school program. Does not need to be a sport either, it can be band or any other group/organization. They just need to get envolved and make themselves overall a better person.
